We start this section
by talking about why we named these wines after ourselves... an anti-ego statement. Yes many come to Napa and buy huge expensive properties with their name splashed across it - we’re not that. We did it for the same reason that old Italian families did it - because it’s us. There’s no one else. No investors, no partners, no “team”... if you call, you get Erin. If you’re drinking our wine, Massimo’s hands made it.
MASSIMO
This is where
we introduce Massimo. His family background, his time working in wine and his journey to Di Costanzo, focusing on the parts that are a) validating to quality and b) accretive to concept. We want to be goal-oriented but personable here.
ERIN
This is where
we introduce Erin. We want to stress her background, the perspective in pushing this vision of wine in Napa. The fact that she answers the phones, meets clients for tasting, fulfils orders... but this is also a question. Do we want to set up an expectation they will always see Erin if they come to visit? Do you plan to grow the tasting team? If so, maybe we want to instead focus on the ‘bootstrap’ part of this past-tense.
We close this section
by talking about our ambitions more - our vision for the future. Do we hope to grow or stay small? Have our own vineyard and hospitality space? What about shorter term - offering more events and experiences, or finding new vineyards from which to offer special wines? This is an opportunity to make a statment and entice them to join us by clicking that underlined link, embedded mid-paragraph to make it not feel quite so sales-y.
